Treatment for hyperpigmentation

Hyperpigmentation is the accumulation of melanin caused by a variety of factors which show after birth. Hyperpigmentation is often due to inflammation that persist after acne, a traumatic event, or surgery. For the treatment of these accumulations of melanin different solutions exist: from cryotherapy to peeling, in addition to ablative laser. Among them, laser q switch is the most functional, but for best results it must be associated with brightening substances to avert the risk of new spots. Depigmenting creams, such as last generation ones based on Pidobenzone (K5® Lipogel) are devoid of side effects and must be applied twice a day, according to the extent of the spots. Three months of treatment may lead to very good results.
